What are Whips?

A whip is a tool designed to strike humans or other animals to exert control through pain compliance or fear of pain. They can also be used for audiovisual cues without causing pain, such as equestrianism. They are usually strong rods designed for direct contact, or flexible wires that require special swing. The former is easier and more precise, the latter provides longer range and more power. The hunting whip combines a strong stick (stock or handle) and a flexible thread.
